Trigger Point Therapy

Targeted Release of Painful Muscle Knots

About Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger Point Therapy focuses on identifying and releasing trigger points—hyper-irritable spots within tight bands of muscle tissue that cause referred pain in other parts of the body. A single trigger point in your shoulder can cause tension headaches, arm tingling, or upper back pain. Our therapists use targeted, sustained pressure (ischemic compression) combined with active breathing to release these micro-spasms and restore healthy, pain-free muscular function.

Key Benefits of the Therapy

Eliminates referred pain patterns and headaches
Releases chronic muscle spasms and tight knots
Boosts localized blood flow to starved muscle tissues
Releases chronic muscle spasms and tight knots
Restores full muscle length and range of movement
Provides long-term relief from repetitive strain injuries

What to Expect During Your Session

Here’s what you can expect during your visit to ensure a comfortable, relaxing, and personalized therapy experience.

Locating Trigger Points:

The therapist gently palpates the muscle to locate the exact painful knot and map referred pain.

Sustained Compression:

The therapist applies precise pressure on the knot (usually holding for 10–30 seconds) while you take slow, deep breaths.

Deactivation Check:

As the knot releases, the referred pain will fade. The therapist then stretches the muscle back to its natural length.

Post-Treatment Stretch:

We teach you simple daily movements to prevent the trigger points from reforming.
